About Us MPACS, LLC, Motion Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, is a limited liability corporation located in Madison, Wisconsin. The company was founded by Dennis D. Roscoe, Ph.D. in 1997. MPACS pioneered the use of MPEG2 technology in medical imaging by being the first company to receive FDA market clearance for capturing and storing ultrasound images in a MPEG2 format. Over the last three years, the Company has redirected its efforts to focus on capturing and managing images associated with visible light (VL) modalities such as endoscopy and surgical video. Our latest VL product, fyreLINK VL, received FDA market clearance on May 23, 2003. MPACS colaborates with the DICOM work group community to help bring into the DICOM standard the use of MPEG2 technology for VL video storage. Mission Statement Backgound
Our mission is to provide cost effective and user friendly solutions for the capture and management of still images and video obtained during endoscopic and surgical procedures. Providing a fully integrated or stand alone electronic medical reporting systems is also mission critical.
